More on the volunteering

Kira and I have been back to visit now several times. The TB test was negative, so we're allowed to stop in whenever we like.

The lady that we're mainly working with is named A (short form), and she's a real dear. She's making Kira a Halloween costume. It was wonderful to watch her... she sort of "zoned out" as soon as she started looking at the pattern. Her memory problem came out in a big way towards me... yet interestingly enough her mind was extremely acute with regards to the costume.

She kept protesting at first- didn't think she could do it, didn't think she could do it. But then as she got into it, it was obvious that she felt energized and interested in it.

I had a feeling that it would be very helpful to her, and I am so glad that it had the effect I was looking for.
